Ian Kendal, who qualified in 1978 from the University of Birmingham, has been in private practice for the last 30 years. He completed the implant course from the Tatum Institute in Birmingham in 2009 and has been placing implants since then. Ian has been responsible for successfully restoring many broken mouths back to full strength. He is also registered to offer many kinds of sedation for those patients that need help to undergo dental work. He is very passionate about the quality of the work this private practice offers, and patients can sense this by his chair side manner. Ian is constantly undergoing training to keep his knowledge, technical skill and professional ability at the cutting edge of modern dentistry.

As executive director Dassi works to integrate all the different elements of both the clinical and non-clinical teams into an effective and highly streamlined practice.


Her dedication to creating a comfortable, relaxing, friendly and aesthetically pleasing environment can be seen in the high attention to detail and quality throughout.


Hannah Ridge - Practice Manager GDC No - 119908

Hannah qualified as a dental nurse in 2005, and has worked along Ian’s side for the majority of time since then, as his dental nurse. She then went onto pastures new for a few years, only to find that soon enough in January 2013, she was back with Ian at his own practice here, in Southampton, but this time not as his nurse, but as his practice Manager. Hannah is thoroughly enjoying her new role, with lots of new challenges ahead of her, but takes everything in her stride. Hannah assists Ian with sedation that Dentistry @ Oceana Boulevard carry out, so does still keep in touch with the practical side of things, which she still enjoys. When Hannah is not at work she is enjoying time with her family, she has a huge love for animals and loves to cook!

Amanda Byrne - Hygenist GDC No - 4558


Amanda qualified in 1993 at the Royal Army Dental Training Centre, Aldershot while serving in the British Army and has been at Dentistry@oceanaboulevard since  2012.


As a Dental Hygienist she is able to provide professional oral hygiene advice that is tailored to each patient as well a scale and polish. She believes that prevention is essential to maintaining a healthy mouth and general well being. She is professional and friendly and dedicated to further learning at every opportunity.  


In her spare time Amanda enjoys running, going to the cinema and spending time with her family.


Charlotte Green - Hygenist GDC No - 160149

Charlotte qualified as a dental hygienist from the Eastman Dental Hospital in London after working as a dental nurse for 8 years.  She offers a full range of dental hygiene treatments and provides advice on how to maintain excellent oral hygiene and the prevention of gum disease and dental decay.


Outside of work Charlotte likes to relax by reading and playing piano and enjoys holidays – from city breaks, sunny beaches to skiing in the Alps!


Charlotte works with Ian and the team on Wednesdays.

Mandy Stephens - Dental Nurse GDC No - 112920


Mandy is a dental nurse with 14 years’ experience. She qualified in 2002. She holds a qualification in oral health education. She also holds certificates for extended duties for fluoride application and impression taking and has previously worked with phobic patients and those with special needs.


Mandy is a grandmother and has 7 grandchildren. She takes an active role and loves every minute and has been known to bake cakes occasionally.  Mandy has recently purchased her first ever motorbike (well scooter really.) “It's fab I wish I had done it when I was younger.”

Heidi Thompson - Dental Nurse GDC No - 195348



Charley is our Trainee Dental Nurse/ Receptionist and was new to dentistry when she joined us in 2011. Charley is presently undergoing her National Diploma in Dental Nursing and will be qualified by September this year (2014). Charley is eager to progress in her career in dentistry and looks forward to the different options available for her to develop in this profession. Charley has a strong perception on what the younger generation would see as aesthetically pleasing.


Outside of work Charley is involved with charity events such as, skydiving 15000ft for CLIC sargent (you can watch this on our Facebook page) She regularly goes to the gym and enjoys spending time with her family.

Gerry - Cleaner

Charlotte (Charley) Brazier - Trainee Dental Nurse/ Receptionist


Heidi has been working as a Dental Nurse for 9 years starting off as a trainee and attending Eastleigh College for one evening a week enabling her to pass and become a Qualified Dental Nurse.


Heidi feels its a privilege that she is able to be a part of helping people to look after their teeth and helping them to realise the importance of it.


She has a 5 year old Daughter and not long will be a Mother again. Heidi enjoy's spending time with her Daughter and socialising with friends and family when not at work. When she has a spare five minutes when she's not occupied with her Daughter, she enjoy's going to the cinema, shopping and eating out.

Charley Denise Taylor

Denise Taylor - Specialist Orthodontist GDC No - 50339

 Dr Taylor is Registered on the Specialist List in Orthodontics of the General Dental Council and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine & member of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society.


For many years Denise was an Associate Specialist in Orthodontics within the hospital service and has considerable expertise in the application of modern orthodontic techniques for the treatment of both adults and children. She is also skilled in the use of products which can enhance facial aesthetics and smooth lines and wrinkles.


Having received the Certificate of Accreditation of the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis Denise has presented several papers to the Royal Society of Medicine in London. As a former President and Academic Chariman of the BSMDH (Mets) Denise has been responsible for training many doctors and dentists in the use of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and has  appeared on several TV and radio programmes discussing the benefits of this treatment. Denise is continually attending specialist courses and conferences both in UK and internationally to ensure she provides her patients with well-researched and proven treatments to very high standards.

Gerry has been working in the cleaning industry since 1985, when he decided to set up his own cleaning business in 1996.


He is very passionate about his work and likes to have a good relationship with his customers.  Gerry enjoys all sports and loves to play his guitar in his spare time.
